Occasionally, orff and I (and others) would engage in channel sessions where we'd speak only in verse, or only in haiku. This would lead to a kind of free-form, organic verse poetry, generated spontaneously. This was a kind of precursor to the sort of wordplay exemplified by bonmotoring. orff once half-jokingly suggested we publish these poems in a volume called "A Beard Half Grown". I responded we should each write half the volume, and have it bound back to back and upside down. My half was to be called "A Face Half Shaved"
