Josh Play Gay Not Quite a motss.con xviii (via Zoom)

On Saturday, August 5, 2023, the soc.motss.con bunch had another Zoom call.

We had 11 people over the course of the hour or so I was there (though never more than seven camera feeds at a time, and up to six of the people were using 1–2 feeds from the Astoria motss.con). I had fun catching up, and it seemed like others did too. Discussion topics (as I wrote them down, but not necessarily in chronological order) included:
  • Erectile dysfunction as men age
  • Arousal without erecion
  • Health and wellness, health advocates, and doctors not listening to their patients
  • Plumbing problems
  • motss.con moment of silence
  • Donnie's Jewish convalescent home putting on a show of Max's work (animal portraits)
  • Max's studio waving $7,200 in parking
  • PG&E crediting Max $1,000
  • Leading by example, transparency, and overcoming invisibility (facing one's own and one's partners' issues)
  • Weight loss and illness
  • White balance, webcam adjustments, and other Zoom issues
  • Watches failing while being worn, and other electromagnetic changes (which has started to affect some of us)
  • Plumbers arriving early
  • Favorite songs
  • Fashions in watches (black hands and black numbers on a black face; sculpted; red glow-in-the-dark hands on black; dot for the hour and bar for the minute; etc.)
  • Art Deco mens' watches
  • Omens and self-fulfilling prophecies
Zoom participants, left to right and top to bottom:

The quote of the day, at least when I was there, was Max's "We started with blood pressure and moved on to erctile dysfunction."
