For the fruit mixture

For the topping (dough)


  1. Toss together lightly the fruit mixture.
  2. Pour into a 3-quart buttered baking dish.
  3. Place the dry ingredients for the dough in a bowl.
  4. Blend in the butter with your fingers until mixture is coarse and crumbly, like corn meal.
  5. Add the eggs, lightly beaten, and blend with fingers until the dough holds together.
  6. Sprinkle dough over fruit.
  7. Sprinkle 2 tbsp sugar over dough.
  8. Bake 35 minutes at 375 F.

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, or both.
