Shrimp Fried Rice
Ingredients
- 0.25 cup chopped bell epppers (red and/or green)
- 3-4 sliced mushrooms
- 1 can halved sliced water chestnuts
- 1 bunch chopped scallions
- 0.25 pounds of shrimp
- 2.5 to 3 cups old precooked (leftover) rice
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 6 tbsp soy sauce
You can substitute other meats (beef, chicken, or pork) for the
shrimp. Dice into small pieces before using.
You can add more vegetables, including peas, bean sprouts, baby
corn, or whatever your favorite may be.
Directions
- In a wok, cook the shrimp and vegetables until hot.
- Add the precooked (day-old) rice and stir quickly.
- Add sesame oil.
- Continue stirring until heated through.
- Add soy sauce for color and flavor.
