     0. Version History

*****************************************************************

v1.0 released! Made with Morrowind patch 1.1.0605

*****************************************************************

     1. INSTALLING THE PLUGIN

*****************************************************************

To install the plugin, unzip the files into the Morrowind/Data Files
directory. Here is where the appropriate files go if you have
a problem:

.tga files should go into the /Data Files/Icons/C/ folder

.nif files should go into the /Data Files/Meshes/C/ folder

.bmp files should go into the /Data Files/Textures/ folder

(also inside the textures folder there will be a magicitems
folder filled with .dds files, see below)

the Theurgist.esp file should be in the main Data Files folder

*****************************************************************

     2. PLAYING THE PLUGIN

*****************************************************************

From the Morrowind Launcher, select Data Files and check the box
next to the Theurgist.esp file.

Once a great Telvanni mage and theurgist, Jaron Scorchblot has
become a bit of an enigma. Most think he's gone crazy, some say
he was never really sane in the first place, but all would admit
that he wields great power over the elements. Most would also
say that he's actually a fairly nice guy- but most fear him just
the same. No longer with the House, he lives as a hermit amongst
his own creations. Older and more frail now, he looks for one
to help him with his tasks, and to perhaps pass on his
knowledge.

This plugin is designed for mage classes. Although anyone may
complete the quests, non-mage classes may not be able to cast
higher level spells. The quests themselves range from easy to
medium-hard. They could probably be started by someone in their
teens, and completed at a higher level.

*****************************************************************

     3. Save Games

*****************************************************************

This plugin *shouldn't* invalidate your saved games. If you save
your game while this plugin is loaded, you may encounter error messages
when you reload the saved game without the plugin. However, this
plugin is NOT an official Bestheda release, so use it at your own
risk. It's always wise to backup a savegame before installing a new
plugin. That being said, all content in this plugin is new, and
very little of the original world is modified, so current games and
quests should be OK.

*****************************************************************

     4. Special README notes

*****************************************************************

There were special files included in this installation that will
remove the "shimmering" effect that Enchanted items radiate. This
is done to appreciate item textures better. If you like the
shimmering effect of enchantments, remove the folder "magicitem"
in the Data Files/Textures/ folder.

As stated above, the plugin is all new content, and so should
not interfere with any savegames in progress. Be safe and always
backup savegames if you have any doubts whatsoever (and I recommend
it anyway, just cuz!)

This plugin contains many quests, and a couple new items to be had,
along with new spells. The new textures were created
using Photoshop.

*****************************************************************

     5. Bugs

*****************************************************************

Although I tested this mod thoroughly, of course bugs can (and
usually will) slip through. Feel free to let me know of things
you think are wrong. There are no bugs that I am aware of at
release.

This plugin was also made using the patched version of Morrowind,
1.1.0605. This may cause error messages when loading the mod for
the first time, especially if you were using a previous version.
Also, the HlormarScript message has nothing to do with this mod,
it is an error caused by the patch.

*****************************************************************

     6. Author and Feedback

*****************************************************************

Other mods by me: Dread Knights/Pious Armor

Not much to say here- except that I go by the moniker of NarkyBark,
I make mods and levels for games, and I try to make them better
than average. Let me know what you think!

Cheers!
