OI!

So who is this person anyway?

Practical stuff

Job hunt: why I'm not at Sprint and whether you should make me an offer .

Location: where I might be at any given moment.

Historical: my previous home page , which is now badly dated.

Personal stuff

Birthday: 7 August 1970 (that makes me a Leo .

Height: 1.82m (roughly 6 feet)

Weight: 75kg (roughly 165lbs)

Hair: Brown with reddish bits (naturally), green/blue/orange (artificially)

Eyes: Green with hazel starbursts around the pupils

Marital status: Ha! Not in this country , as much because I'm (recently) single as because I'm a queer , bisexual Canadian.

Personality Index: a very nearly perfect-scoring ENTP. Everyone who administers Myers-Briggs tests to me is quickly able to anticipate my answers.

Likes: chocolate, cute blond men, making the Internet work, reading, music, Bugs Bunny cartoons, IRC, travel, people-watching with friends, and procrastination.

Dislikes: right wing people, closet queens, dogs, and Tories (who are often all of the above).

Music: Punk ( Sonic Youth, Joy Division (and very old NewOrder), The Jesus and Mary Chain, les Olivensteins, Metal Urbain, PIL, Dead Kennedys, Pixies, Angry Samoans, Public Image Ltd., Free Kitten, and many others). Old-school Industrial (Throbbing Gristle, Psychic TV, Test Dept, the Residents, old Einstürzende Neubauten) Cyberpunk, Underground and Industrial/Acid Techno (new Psychosonik, Underground, Lords of Acid), Angst/Goth (The Smiths, The Cure, Portishead), Silly Stuff (Tom Lehrer, PDQ Bach), 2-Tone/SKA (King Apparatus, SKAface, the Specials, Selecter, Desmond Dekker), random quasi-pop/(quasi-)alternative stuff, Classical (Brahms, Bach, Beethoven, Liszt), and essentially everything except country/western or easy listening music. Witless Houston drives me crazy.

Authors: John Varley, Bob Shaw, Ethan Mordden, Dorothy L. Sayers and many many others.

Pictures: the full jungle pic, one of me in a steam vent in Hawaii, and one of me in one of my favourite sweaters.

Friends: I have a bunch, some with home pages

Terror: The dreaded Jumpy Bug or cave cricket, which is native to northern Virginia and which occasionally decides to share my space. I recommend a 12.0 amp upright vacuum cleaner as a pesticide.
