Josh Play Recipes Entree Barbecued Pork Ribs

For the ribs

  1. Rub ribs with a mixture of the salt, pepper, and red pepper.
  2. Marinate ribs in vinegar overnight in refrigerator in a baking dish.
  3. Bake in the same dish for 30 minutes at 450 F.
  4. Transfer to a sheet pan and bake an additional 30 minutes at 350 F.
  5. Serve with the sauce (see below) either spooned or poured on the ribs, or used as a dipping sauce.

For the barbecue sauce

  1. Mix together the hot sauce, puree, and water in a large saucepan.
  2. Add pepper flakes and sugar.
  3. Chop the celery, green pepper, and onion finely.
  4. Slice and squeeze the lemons.
  5. Add lemon juice and vegetables to sauce.
  6. Simmer (do not boil) for 30 minutes.
