Some of the following references have been extremely helpful over the years. Some of them are serious and some are more for amusement. Ones marked with the blue ball, , are ones I've written.

General computing references
	Michigan Terminal System (MTS)--The history behind the MTS operating system, along with some related computing history and anecdotes about the operating system.
	Network glossary --A glossary of networking, systems administration, and telecommunications terminology, including acronym expansions.
	Network management --A site that archives the Usenet news group comp.dcom.net-management and provides useful references for network engineering.
	Online Computing Dictionary--A free online resource providing the definition and etymology for virtually any computer-related term. (Non-US users may find the original site in the UK easier to get to.)
	Unix Rosetta Stone--A free online resource providing comparisons of major Unix versions' commands, options, and so on.
HTML and web-related references
	A Beginner's Guide to HTML--The quintessential introduction to using HTML, written by the folks at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA).
	Composing Good HTML--An attempt to address stylistic points of HTML composition, both at the document and the web level.
	Introduction to HTML--A three-part course on learning HTML programming. It can be taught as a daylong tutorial or three evening classes.
	Search services--Internet search services, provided as a useful starting point for your convenience.
	Style Guide--A text discussion of the styles used in these web pages.
	Web sites--Internet and intranet web sites developed while working at my various clients.
